Day 122, August 27, 2012 (Saugatuck/Douglas, MI): On the weekend we backtracked to Grand Haven mostly to visit a friend. At the right, meet Evan and Terri aboard Pearl. Evan is two months late of Tiara Yachts, the mothership in Holland. 

Day 118, August 23, 2012 (Holland, MI): On Monday, August 20, 2012, we traveled from Ludington to Whitehall, an easy 43 mile run in beautiful weather except for Lake Michigan. The forecast was one to two foot wave heights from the southwest.

Day 115, August 20, 2012 (Ludington, MI): In the last few days we visited three ports: Leland, Frankfort, and Ludington.

Day 110, August 15, 2012 (Leland, MI): This is a collection of images from our last two stops: Petoskey for two days and Charlevoix for 3 days. Petoskey is a buzzing little town of under 10,000 inhabitants, a must stop for loopers. Charlevoix is much smaller but also bustling and the best waterfront we have seen so far on the western shore of Michigan. Unique (I think) are the mushroom houses of Charlevoix.

Day 105, August 10, 2012 (Harbor Springs, MI): Here we are … by choice? Harbor Springs is pleasant, clean, and neat with lots of activity including street acts of music, magic, balloons for kids, and lots of people on Main Street of this town of 1,300 inhabitants, last evening . We want to move on to Petoskey across Little Traverse Bay but it is almost winter today with temps in the low 50s, low clouds, and winds  gusting to 40 mph. At the left, Little Traverse children’s sailing camp have a sail furling competition. At the right is a classy little shop on Main Street.
